1580. Was a bouwman in the Vlaardinger-ambacht district around Kethel. Married ca 1576 to Lijsbeth
Huybrechtsdr. She was born ca 1555 in Kethel and died in Kethel in May 1622. After Pieter's death, his
3 year old son inherited 650 guilders, and daughter 200 guilders. Then she married Huibrecht Vincentsz
van Adrichem 24 July 1580 who then died before 23 April 1582. From him she inherited the house and
courtyard and 258 guilders. They had a son, Huibrecht Huibrechtsz. At that time her brother-in-law Jan
Vincentsz was named guardian. She had a brief marriage to Cornelis Herperts. Then by 1590 was married
to Dirk Peurman. The short lives of the men may be the result of the intense warfare with Spain and the
Pope.

1. Pieter Pieterszn [136] son born ca 1577 in Vlaardinger-ambacht district.

2. Neeltje Pietersdr [148] daughter born ca 1579 at Kethelweg in Vlaardingen-ambacht.

III. Pieter Pieterszn Poot [136] Son of Pieter Pieterszn Poot [146], born ca 1577 in Vlaardinger-
Ambacht, died 28 Dec 1640 in Kethel. He served as alderman or magistrate in Spaland in 1613, 1615-17,
1626, 1633-34, 1639-40. He married in Vlaardinen ca 1602 to Martijntgen Cornelisdr Verhouck [137].
She was born ca 1580 in Vlaardinger Woud in the Vlaardinger-ambacht district. She died in Spaland 7
May 1653. She was daughter of Cornelis Cornelisz Verhouck and Diewertje Cornelisdr.

From this marriage:

1. Lijsbeth Pieterdr [139], daughter born ca 1605, at Kethel. Married 15 June 1635 at Scheidam to
Willem Cornelisz Bijl.

2. Cornelis Pieterszn [140], son born ca 1606-8, may have died 1655. A bouwman in Maasland. First
marriage was to Jopjen Jopjesdr, who died 1655. Second marriage to Arjaantje Andriesdr
Cleywegh, who died after 1660.

3. Huibrecht Pieterszn [119]. Son born ca 1610 in Spaaland, died 21 Oct 1690.

4. Neeltje Pietersdr [141]. Daughter born in Kethel ca 1615, buried in Vlaardingen Jan 1671. Married
in Vlaardingen 8 Nov 1642 to Leendert Jacobsz Roodenburg. He was born in Naaldwijk 13 March
1611. He was a bouwman, and son of Jacob Leendertsz Rodenburch, manager of the St. Joris guild
in De Lier.

5. Diewertje Pietersdr [142]. Daughter born ca 1616 in Kethel. Died in Schipluiden in 1674, reburied
with husband in Vlaardingen 20 Sept 1682. Civil registration for marriage in Vlaardingen 12 Nov
1644, betrothed in Kethel 4 Dec 1644 to Joris Cornelisz Zuiderend, bouwman in Schipluiden.

6. Annetje Pietersdr [143]. Daughter born ca 1618. First marriage to Jan Jansz op de Vaert, born in 's-
Gravenzande, a sailor who died by 1644. Second marriage to Jan Pieters, also a sailor.

7. Simon Pieterszn [145]. Son born ca 1620 in Kethel Spaland. Bouwman in Schpluiden. Died in
Schipluiden 1680, the church records list him as unmarried.
